This is actually the standard for most smart home devices because 2.4GHz provides a more stable connection at longer distances, which is perfect for doorbells installed outside your home. Don’t worry — nearly all Wi-Fi routers today broadcast both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, so setup is simple and reliable.

Yes. All video data is encrypted during transmission and storage, ensuring your footage stays private. Only you can access your recordings through the secure Kement app. We never share or sell your video data — your security is our top priority.

The smart doorbell is designed to work through the Kement mobile app (iOS & Android) for the smoothest experience. Most features, like live view, notifications, and two-way talk, are mobile-only. However, if you choose cloud storage, you may be able to access saved recordings through a web browser on your computer. Some customers also use Android emulators (like Bluestacks) to run the app on a PC.

You can share access with multiple family members through the Kement app. Several people can receive alerts and watch the live feed at once — typically up to 3–5 devices simultaneously. That means everyone in your household can stay connected and see who’s at the door, no matter where they are.

The doorbell uses smart human detection to reduce false alerts from things like pets, cars, or moving leaves. In the Kement app, you can:

• Adjust motion sensitivity (lower settings save more battery).
  
• Set activity zones so it only monitors the areas you care about (like your doorway, not the street).
  
• Limit notifications to “human only” instead of all motion.
